The title of this image refers to the old tree. When ever I return to the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, there are a couple old trees that I look forward to seeing on my drive in. They have stood the test of time through the harsh conditions and I would love to see a fraction of what has occured around them in their life time. No matter how many times in the past I have captured thier image, I seem to always find some time to take new photos of them as if I am catching up with an old friend and finding out what has gone on since my last trip. I know some day when I drive down the road into Many Glacier, I will be saddend to see that one of my "Old Friends" became a casualty of time and nature.
