An large old stump from a tree that use to tower over Blue Lake is now reduced to stand on a pile of rocks as the younger trees take its place. The golden larch and show that autumn is here but the snow is announcing that winter is on its way. There is so much aspects of nature in the one image. The beauty in not just the year in passing but many years that have come before.
