There is so much beauty surrounding South Falls in Silver Falls State Park. Start with a show stopping waterfall surrounded by big leaf maples and other lush vegetation. All of this is captured in a basalt bowl carved out by silver creek. This black and white version brings out so much in the scene. The textures of the moss and rock with the contrast of the open lit waterfall and the trees. And the highlights of the leaves that have changed signaling Autumn. Sometimes I feel when you remove color you add so much more to an image.
