This is the famous Japanese Maple tree of the Portland Japanese Garden. Just about every image you see is in color simply because it showcases all it's beauty. I thought I would do a little twist on the traditional and work it up in Black and White. For me this adds a whole new dimension. There is so much more detail to focus on when you are not caught up in all the color.
