Still Standing
Just east of Snoqualmie Pass in Washington State is Keechelus lake. This lake is formed from a dam on the Yakima river. When the lake was formed it flooded several forest areas killing the trees. This one of those areas.
When I saw this it made me think of those clear cut areas when you see nothing but old tree stumps. But in this image, there was a small island of trees that avoided the fate of all the others. Almost as if they were saying " No matter what you do, we are still standing".
