Every Winter starting in December, hundreds of Bald Eagles Journey to Lake Coeur D' Alene for the Chinook Salmon Spawn. These fish are landlocked and start their Spawn in late November and Early December. The eagles flock in large numbers to Wolf Lodge bay where the majority of the spawning happens. They swoop down to the water to snag salmon that come to the surface after they spawn.
