After just one trip I think this is a favorite spot of mine. This is a protected cave-like area next to one of the huge rocks that are a part of the Rocks of Sharon. This is a Hike that I have wanted to take for a while. I have been waiting for the snow to clear. My intention was more to get some scouting done to figure out some good places to shoot in the future. It is early spring, actually closer to late winter. No leaves yet. The grass isn't even green to give some color contrast so I figured this would be a practice run. Well, that wasn't the case. As soon as I got to the top of the trail, I pulled my camera out and started shooting. It was an amazing vista. Located on the southern edge of the City of Spokane, it is hard to believe there is an area like this where you can hike and get some solitude. This view is looking south west into the Palouse. Way off in the distance is Steptoe Butte. Now, I can't wait till everything starts growing to add more color.
