This is a barn that I photographed on a day I was looking for something in the palouse to photograph but didn't have much luck. There hardley any clouds in the sky to add interest. The sun set fast with little added color. I like the old rustic barn and the freshly harvested field in the background but it really didn't do much for me visually. This image sat for a couple of years and then when I was looking through my images I thought I could add to the story and interest of the image by adding a texture. I though a wheat texture was perfect along with adding some color to the sky. I think the added texture and color really capture the viewers attention longer and makes them wonder about the stories the barn and surrounding structure could tell. I sure do.
