After a fresh snowfall, I ventured through the Palouse for some winter images. This scene caught my attention. A lone tree at the top of a hill in the winter silence. it is amazing how quite everything is after it snows. When I processed the image I thought more contrast combined with high key would give me the results that I had envisioned when I first saw the tree.
